Classes - Full Day:     back to top

Math Olympiad   (recommended for students with USAMO index1 above 230)

The classes for this group will help students who are capable of qualifying for USAMO  develop their skills and proof writing techniques in advanced topics covered in high end math competitions.  We will focus on solving entry and medium level USAMO problems.

1USAMO Index is calculated as AMC score + AIME score * 10

AIME with Proofs (recommended for students with USAMO index between 180 - 230)

The hard problems in AMC 12 and medium to hard level problems of AIME will be the focal points of this group. We will also introduce general methods and concepts for mathematical proof, such as induction, proof by contradiction, invariants and monovariants, well ordering, and the Pigeonhole Principle.

AMC 12/AIME (for students with 2009 AMC 10 score of 115 and above, or AMC 12 score of 90 and above)

The classes for this group will help students to make transition from AMC 10 to AMC 12. We will focus on solving  hard level AMC 10 problems,  medium to hard level AMC 12 problems, and entry to medium level AIME problems. .

AMC 10/AMC 12 (for young students with 2009 AMC 10 score 90 and above)

The classes for this group will help experienced young students to extend their grasp of algebraic and geometric tools and develop their combinatorial and number theory problem solving skills while helping them prepare for MATHCOUNTS national, AMC 10 and AMC 12 tests.

Classes - Half Day:     back to top

Math Roots (9:30 am - 12:45 pm)

Math Roots is best for students just beginning their problem-solving careers, perhaps at the level of the MATHCOUNTS School and Chapter rounds. We help them to gain a solid grasp of the fundamental algebra and geometry skills that will guide them throughout the rest of middle school and high school.

Beyond MATHCOUNTS (2:00 pm - 5:15 pm)

The classes for this group are designed to help students solidify and deepen their command of algebra and geometry while helping them prepare for MATHCOUNTS chapter, state and AMC 8/10 tests. We will focus on AMC 8 tests and entry to medium level AMC 10 problems.
